How to Download Your GoHighLevel AI Studio Website Files

If you built a website in GoHighLevel AI Studio, you may eventually want the actual website files.

Maybe you need to give the files to a client. Maybe you want a backup before making major changes. You may also want to move the website to Netlify, Vercel, Cloudflare Pages, or another hosting platform.

GoHighLevel AI Studio lets you build, edit, preview, and publish a website, but it does not currently provide a standard button for downloading the complete project as usable website files. HighLevel users have requested both website exporting and GitHub integration, but those features are not currently included in the standard publishing process.

VibeEscape gives you a direct way to download the website you already built.

The Short Version

To download your GoHighLevel AI Studio website:

1. Open your website project in GoHighLevel AI Studio.
2. Open the Code section of the project.
3. Click the VibeEscape browser extension.
4. Select the option to extract your website.
5. Download the ZIP file.
6. Choose the React project or clean HTML version based on how you plan to use the website.

You do not need GitHub, Claude Code, or terminal commands.

What You Need Before You Start

You will need:

• Access to the GoHighLevel sub-account containing the AI Studio project
• Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Brave
• The VibeEscape browser extension
• The AI Studio website you want to download

Make sure the website is complete and working correctly inside AI Studio before extracting it. Check the desktop and mobile versions, test the navigation, and confirm that all pages and images load properly.

Step 1: Open Your AI Studio Project

Log in to GoHighLevel and open the correct sub-account.

Go to AI Studio, then select the website project you want to download.

Open the project and allow it to load completely.

If you have several versions of the project, confirm that you are opening the most recent version before continuing.

Step 2: Open the Code Section

Inside the AI Studio project, open the Code section.

AI Studio websites are created as React projects containing files such as TypeScript, JSX, CSS, JSON, images, and other assets. The Code section gives VibeEscape access to the project files needed to create the download.

You do not need to copy the code manually.

Step 3: Open VibeEscape

Click the VibeEscape icon in your browser toolbar.

If you do not see the icon, open your browser's Extensions menu and pin VibeEscape to the toolbar.

The extension should recognize that you are inside a GoHighLevel AI Studio project.

Step 4: Extract the Website

Click the extraction option inside VibeEscape.

VibeEscape collects the website project and prepares it for download. Depending on the size of the website and the number of pages and assets, this may take a few moments.

Keep the AI Studio page open while the extraction is running.

Step 5: Download the ZIP File

When the extraction finishes, download the ZIP file to your computer.

Save the original ZIP file somewhere safe. This gives you a backup that you can keep even if you later change the website, transfer the project, or close the GoHighLevel account.

You may also want to create a folder using the client's name, website name, and extraction date.

Step 6: Choose the Version You Need

VibeEscape provides two useful versions of the website.

The Original React Project

The React version preserves the project structure created by AI Studio.

Choose this version if:

• A developer will continue working on the website
• You want to preserve the original project files
• You plan to use a React-compatible hosting platform
• You want a complete backup of the AI Studio project
• You may continue editing or expanding the website with development tools

The React project may require a build process before it can be placed on a hosting platform.

The Clean HTML Version

The HTML version is designed for easier hosting and client handoff.

Choose this version if:

• You want files that are easier to open and understand
• You plan to host the website outside GoHighLevel
• A client requested a copy of the website
• You want to place the design inside another website platform
• You do not want to work with React files

The right version depends on what you plan to do next. Keeping both versions is usually the safest choice.

What VibeEscape Downloads

VibeEscape is designed to preserve the front-end website created in AI Studio. This can include:

• A clean HTML version

This gives you a usable copy of the website's design and front-end files.

What Is Not Included

VibeEscape does not export your complete GoHighLevel account.

The website files and the GoHighLevel account are two different things. VibeEscape extracts the website's front end, not the entire GoHighLevel system behind it.

Depending on the version you use, you may be able to host the website on platforms such as:

• Traditional web hosting
• A private company server

The React project may need to be built before deployment. The clean HTML version is generally easier to place on standard hosting.

Always test the downloaded website before changing domains or canceling any existing service.

Why Keep a Backup?

Even if you plan to leave the website inside AI Studio, keeping a separate copy is a practical precaution.

A backup can help when:

• A client asks for the website files
• You want to preserve a working version before making changes
• You need to move the website to another host
• You are transferring or closing a sub-account
• You want access to the project without depending on one platform
• You need a developer to work on the website outside GoHighLevel

Do not wait until you are about to close an account to think about downloading the website. Create the backup while you still have full access to the project.

Can You Download an AI Studio Website Without VibeEscape?

You can view and edit files through the AI Studio Code Editor, but manually rebuilding and organizing an entire project can take time.

VibeEscape automates the extraction and prepares the files as downloadable packages. You do not have to copy every file individually or set up GitHub and command-line development tools.

Can You Upload the Website Back Into AI Studio?

The downloaded files are primarily intended for backup, development, client delivery, or hosting outside GoHighLevel.

Do not assume that a downloaded project can be uploaded back into AI Studio as a complete replacement project. Keep the original AI Studio project active until you have tested the downloaded files and confirmed that you have everything you need.

Can a Client Use the Downloaded Files?

Yes. You can provide the ZIP file to a client, developer, hosting company, or technical team.

Before delivering the files, explain which version you are providing and whether any forms, calendars, payments, or external integrations need to be reconnected.

The clean HTML version is often easier for a nontechnical client to hand to another website professional.
